We at Seawell’s can take care of all your needs, and can handle everything to make this the special day that you have always dreamed of.

We have worked with hundreds of vendors over the years and have not only catered weddings in our own facility, but can handle events at many other locations in Columbia and the surrounding area that are not affiliated exclusively with other catering companies.

The Seawell’s Banquet Facility on Rosewood Drive in Columbia has been the location of many wedding receptions since it opened in 1999. Not only have we been the location of many incredibly memorable wedding receptions; we have hosted numerous rehearsal dinners, bridal showers, engagement parties, and even the wedding itself in our facility.

We have over 13,000 square feet in its banquet hall, and have all the tables, chairs, staging, dance floors, sterling silver service ware, crystal glassware, candles, mirrors, table skirting and lace to handle your wedding the way it should be.

At Seawell’s, we have worked hand in hand with some of the best vendors in the state of South Carolina. We can handle not only the location and the catering part of your special day, but can arrange other items to take more of those worries away from you. Photographers, Music and Entertainment, Cake Decorators, Video Staging and Lighting, Tents, Chair Covers, Ice Sculptures, Bar & Liquor Services, Parking and Security, you name it and we can handle it all!

Deciding on Your Budget

We generally charge a "per-person" rate. It is best to first determine a budget and then let us create a plan that will meet your needs. Once a date is set, a contract is sent over to you with all details included. A deposit is required with the contract to hold a room, but is used as toward the final payment. The final count is due 48 hours prior to the event. This gives us time to order the items we need to prepare for your event and make sure they arrive to Seawell’s as fresh as possible. We will provide food preparation and seating for a small percentage over your final count, just in case. We will accept payment in cash, check Visa, MasterCard or American Express.


Equiptment and Setup

Electrical
The Seawell's Banquet Hall is equipped with 19 duplex receptacles inside the banquet hall that are supplied by 4/20 amp breakers. We also have a power board which is located on the back wall that contains 20 more 20 amp duplex receptacles.

Bands, sound/light companies and DJ’s are allowed to connect to this power source but they must supply their own drop cords to reach this location.

Removal of this power board so you may tap directly in to this power source may be done, but a $125.00 security deposit is required before doing so. This deposit will be returned when and if this power source is return to its original form when event is complete.

We have many items on premises for your use at your event. They include standing and tabletop podiums, projector tables, drop cords and power strips. Please let us know in advance of your needs so items will be in place and ready for you on your arrival.

Frequently Asked Questions

How far in advance do I need to book an event?
It is best to reserve the facility and caterer you want as soon as you have a confirmed date. Many peak wedding and holiday dates are contracted 6-12 months out. Most facilities allow a cancellation up to 3 months out from the event with no penalty fee.

What services does Seawell’s provide?
We can provide all of your catering needs including linens, tables, chairs, skirting, glassware, china, sterling silver, mirrors, candles, dance floors, staging and some decorations.

Is the cost of the banquet hall included in the catering cost?
Not necessarily. It depends on the event.

Will Seawell’s allow other caterers to use their banquet hall?
No. We have always provided our clients with the best quality food, beverage and service at the best value, we're not comfortable with using unfamiliar caterers and vendors in our facility.

What can I provide for the event?
You may provide items such as alcohol, wedding cakes, birthday cakes, floral arrangements and decorations if you choose to do so. Of course, we would be happy to assist you with all of your planning needs as we have ongoing relationships with the best vendors in the business. Contact us to discuss your options.
